1964 Fender Jazz bass in excellent condition. Sunburst nitro refinish, Rosewood fingerboard with clay dots. Tortoise shell guard in great condition with no cracks. Fantastic neck with a superb playing action and amazing tone. Other than the refinish and missing metal pickup/bridge covers, this bass is original including the case. Serial number: L37393. Weight: 8 lbs 10oz. The neck dates JAN 64A, the pots date to the 3rd and 20th week of 64. The pickups have black bobbins and original winds.

The finish has very little wear other than a few nicks and tiny dings around the edges. The neck finish is very clean as is the headstock. The wires on the control harness are original but they were cut during the refinish in order to remove the pots and pickups, they have been re-soldered and the new joins covered in heat shrink.

This bass is a joy to play with a superb even sound right across the fretboard, it has a straight neck, and there's tons of room in the truss rod. Good original frets in great condition. It's been fully set up by my technician with a great action and a fresh set of Nickel Rotosound round-wound strings. Nut width: 37.6mm Depth at 1st: 20.2mm.
