1973 Fender Jazz Bass, Sunburst

1973 Fender Jazz Bass, Sunburst finish, maple neck and fingerboard with black block inlays and binding. With both pickups and tone up full this bass really sings with tons of top-end, the mids punch through and the bottom end holds it all together. Supplied with a 3-month warranty and 14-day return policy.

This is a players-grade instrument with several changes:

It's been refretted, has 2 changed pots a rewound bridge pickup, and all new hook-up wires. There are 2 additional holes (one on either side of the bridge) The holes line up with a P-Bass bridge cover. The control cavity has been lined with copper shielding. Non-original case.

The body finish has numerous small scuffs and dings, mainly around the edges of the body. The red part of the sunburst finish has faded a fair bit on the front. The finish on the back remains fairly vibrant. The neck is relatively clean with just a few small scuffs along part of the bottom back edge and on the fretboard. just beyond the 5th fret The frets are in good condition and have plenty of life left in them.  The truss rod works as it should and everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs. All electronics work correctly and sound great.

It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Rotosound nickel round-wound strings and low action giving great playability. The neck stamp is not visible. The original pot dates to the 39th week of '72. Serial 371943. The bridge pickup is dated stamped to 1972 - the neck pickup date is not visible. 9 lbs 1.5 oz / 4.12 kg. Nut Width 38..4mm.
