1973 Fender Jazz Bass in good condition. Walnut finish with a Maple fingerboard and black block inlays. Supplied with the original case, a 3-month warranty and a 14-day returns policy.
The finish has some lacquer checking as well as some small scuffs and dings on the body, mainly around the edges. The neck has only light wear. The end of the headstock appears to have had some moisture damage and been blown over with clear lacquer on the front and back. Aside from that and with the exception of the metal covers, the rest of the bass is original. All electronics and hardware are in good working order including the truss rod which operates correctly.
This bass sounds fantastic with a huge tone and plenty of punch. It has plenty of mojo and plays very well with a straight neck and low action.
Serial number:405761. Weight: 8lbs 7.5oz / 3.84 kg. The neck date stamp reads Mar 73 B. The pots all date to the 10th week of '73. The neck pickup dates to '72 and the bridge to '73 ( thus explaining the different colour windings) Fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of nickel Rotosound round-wound strings. Nut width: 37.5 mm. Depth: 21.8 mm. Pickup DC resistance, neck 6.69k, bridge 7.53k.
