1974 Fender Jazz Bass, Natural finish in exceptionally good condition. Maple neck and fingerboard with pearl block inlays and white binding. Other than the new case, it's all original and complete. The original polish cloth and owners manual are also included.

This is an excellent bass, with a nice slim neck. I personally love these mid-70s Jazz basses. I owned one for many years. Although the serial number falls into the 1975 range, all the internally dated parts date to 1974 and this bass retains a 4-bolt neck which is date stamped late 1972. This bass has tons of tone and the growl is fantastic. With both pickups and tone up full this bass sings with tons of top end, the mids punch through and the bottom end holds it all together.

The body finish displays virtually zero playwear. The neck is very clean and the binding is all intact. The frets clean and have plenty of life left in them. The truss rod works as it should and the neck is straight. The headstock has a couple of tiny scuffs but otherwise really clean.

Fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of nickel Rotosound strings and a smooth medium/low action giving great playability. Both pickups date to 1974. All 3 pots date to the 38th week of '74. Serial: 623646. Weight:11 lbs 2.5oz / 5.07 kg. Nut Width: 38.1 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 22 mm. Pickup DC resistance: N, 6.46 k. B, 6.96 k.
