1966 Fender Jazz Bass, Sunburst

1966 Fender Jazz bass, Sunburst finish in good condition. Tortoiseshell guard, Rosewood fretboard with binding and block inlays. All original and complete aside from re-flowed solder on the volume pots, a brass nut and a missing tug bar. Original case included. Supplied with a 3-month warranty and a 14-day returns policy.

The Sunburst finish is in good condition and still vibrant. There are fairly common signs of age and playwear, including small scuffs and dings which are mainly around the edges. There's some light buckle rash on the back and minor lacquer checking throughout as well as some light scuffing on the front. The neck has light play-wear and the headstock has lacquer checking as well as some scuffs & dings around the edges. All hardware and electronics are in good working order including the truss rod. The frets are in great shape having been dressed in our workshop and the neck is straight.

This bass is a great player with a superb, even sound right across the fretboard. The neck is stamped Sep 66 A. All 3 pots date to the 31st week of 1966. The pickups have untouched solder and original winds. Both are dated to October 66. Fully set up in our workshop with great action and strung with a set of Elite Players, nickel 45-105 round-wound strings. Serial number: 170062. Weight: 9 lbs 1 oz / 4.11 kg. Nut width: 37.8 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21.4 mm.
