1966 Fender Jazz Bass in good condition, Indian Rosewood fingerboard, Sunburst finish, original case and Oval tuners. All original with the exception of the brass nut. Original Sunburst finish marked ES under the pick guard. ("Entered special" at the factory) Custom colour orders were often marked with this ES stamp but so too were some Sunbursts. The finish shows nice crazing/checking, which gives it plenty of mojo. This bass is a great player with a superb even sound right across the fretboard. It has a straight neck, good original frets in great condition, Tortoise guard, Serial number:170062. Weight:9lbs. Nut width: 1.363". Pickup ohms: Neck:6.84 / Bridge:6.71.

There's play wear to the finish around the edges on the back the body and also some buckle rash. All hardware and electronics are in good working order. The frets show a little wear but have plenty of life left and playability us unaffected. The neck is stamped Sept 66 A. The pots all date to then 31st week of 1966, the pickups date to October 66 and have original winds. Fully set up by my technician with a set of stainless steel strings.
