1980 Fender Precision Bass, Antigua finish, Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard. All original except the case and some solder on the pots. I've listed the bass as 1980 because despite the serial starting with S8, the neck stamp dates to the 6th week of 1980, the pickups date to 1980 and the pots date to mid 79.
This bass is in good condition. Theres a few small bumps and scrapes to the finish and some buckle rash on the back but nothing major. The neck is fairly clean with only a few small patches of wear. The frets are in good shape. Really nice neck with fast playability. Plenty of thump and growl in the tone. Fully set up with a fresh set of Nickel Rotosound strings and a smooth medium/low action. Serial:S881598. Both pots date to mid 1979. Weight: 9 lbs 5.5 oz. Nut Width: 41.25 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.75 mm.
