1979 Rickenbacker 4001 with a Fireglo finish in excellent condition. All original and complete with the exception of the case and the strap buttons. Serial number: SE 2496. There's very little play wear and only a few small scuffs to the finish on the headstock and the back of the neck. It features some very nice wood grain which you can see through the finish. The metal work is mostly still shiny although the pickup cover is a little tarnished. All round lovely bass.
Fully set up with a fresh set of strings and a great playing action. The truss rods work as they should and the neck is straight. The frets are in great shape showing virtually no wear. All electronics and hardware are in good working order with no issues. The Pickups, pots and hardware are all original. The pots date to mid1978, the serial dates the production to May 1979.
