1979 Music Man Stingray in good condition. Black finish, black pickguard, maple neck & fretboard. Equipped with a 2 band EQ, epoxy coated preamp and through-body stringing. Aside from the mute sponge, the nut and new SKB case case it's all original. Supplied with 3-months warranty.
The body has numerous small dings in the body finish. The back of the neck is relatively free of wear. The headstock is also clean with only a few very minor scuffs around the edges and a couple of marks from possibly stickers. The neck is straight and plays smoothly. The original frets have minimal wear and have been cleaned and polished in our workshop. The electronics work perfectly and all hardware is in excellent condition. The truss rod works correctly without issue. This is an all-round excellent bass.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball round-wound strings and has a great action allowing for superb playability up and down the neck. The serial number is B010695. Weight: 8lbs 15oz. The neck is stamped Jan 10th 1979. The body date is smudged and therefore difficult to read. ( I think it says Dec 1978) The pots are original but only one date is visible(41st week of 78). The truss rod works as intended with plenty of room to move. Nut Width: 42.1 mm. Depth at 1st fret 19.8 mm.
