1966 Fender Precision Bass in very good condition with a sunburst finish over an Alder body. Serial:167330. All original including the case. (one latch was broken - we have fitted a replacement) It has a wide, slim C-profile maple neck with a beautifully figured rosewood fingerboard, a 7.25" radius and pearl dots. Supplied with a 3-month warranty and 14-day returns policy.
The Sunburst finish is still vibrant and has light lacquer checking throughout. There are a few minor scuffs and dings, mainly around the edges. There are also some patches of buckle rash on the back of the body. The neck has a lovely grain with light playwear. The frets are in great shape with plenty of life left in them. The headstock has a few very tiny dings around the edges and some light lacquer checking but is mostly free from wear. It's an all-around excellent bass, a joy to play and sounds incredible.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop and is strung with a fresh set of D'Addario Chrome flat-wound strings. The neck is date stamped Oct 66 C. The volume pot is dated the 31st week of 66, and the tone pot, the 17th week of '66. The pickups date to November 66 and have original winds. The pencil dates are 11-23-66 and 11-29-66. Weight: 8 lbs 10.5 oz / 3.92 kg. Nut width: 43.9 mm, depth at 1st fret 21.4 mm. Pickup DC resistance 10.47 K.
