Late 1965 Fender Jazz bass in exceptionally clean condition. Nitro Sunburst finish, rosewood fingerboard, Tortoiseshell guard. 100% original and complete with untouched solder. The original case is also in exceptional condition and original other than a replaced handle.
This is one of the nicest examples of a vintage Fender Jazz bass we've seen. The finish is extremely clean and the colour still very vibrant. There are only the smallest of dings and scuffs around the edges of the body. It has a fantastic neck with very little play wear. The frets are clean and in great shape having been cleaned and dressed in our workshop. The headstock is clean as is all the hardware.
This bass is a joy to play with a superb even sound right across the fretboard, it has a straight neck which is very slim at the nut, and there's tons of room in the truss rod. It's been fully set up and sounds amazing. Weight 8 lbs 14.5 oz. Serial: 109123. The neck date is May 65A, the pots all date to the 42nd week of 65. Nut Width: 37.75mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21mm.
