1964 Fender Jazz Bass with the original Sunburst finish. Rosewood fingerboard with clay dots and a Tortoiseshell guard. All Original with the exception of a re-fret and the metal neck pickup cover. Original case included. The re-fret has been done exceptionally well with no disturbance to the rosewood fingerboard.
It has a fantastic clean neck with only light play-wear. The headstock is clean overall with only minor wear. The frets are in great shape having been cleaned and dressed in our workshop. There are numerous small chips in the body finish, mainly around the edges of the body and some buckle rash on the back. The pickguard is all intact with minimal shrinkage.
This bass is a joy to play with a superb even sound right across the fretboard, the neck is slim at the nut, and there's tons of room in the truss rod. It's been fully set up with a fresh set of D'addario Chrome flat-wound strings and sounds amazing. Weight 9 lbs 3.5 oz. Serial: L42430. The neck date is May 64A, the pots all date to the 26th week of 64. Nut Width: 37.7mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.3mm. Depth at 12th fret:24.6 mm. 3-month warranty included.
