Paul Reed Smith - PRS Artist Series III - Violin Amber finish - near mint condition. Inc original hard case, 14-day returns and a 3-month warranty.

Date Assembled 3 September 1997
Artist Series III  # 223
Serial # 732890

Special factory order: quilted top and semi-hollow body, with Certificate of Authenticity.

The Artist Series guitars were built in very limited numbers and were the precursors to the PRS Private Stock line. They were a step up from their regular production models in the PRS "food chain" and to this day remain very desirable as both great players and as collectibles.

This guitar features a mahogany body with a gorgeous quilted maple top, a South American mahogany neck and an Indian rosewood fretboard. It also has rare iridescent Paua shell inlays and gold hardware.

The guitar features PRS Limited Edition electronics. Very simple five-way selector, one volume and one tone control. Artist Bass and an Artist Treble Humbucker pickups. The frets are very good and the neck is straight, with perfect intonation. The pickups sound excellent and all of the electronics work as they should. One very small ding on the back of the neck heel and some tiny impressions along the back of the neck.

PRS guitars have become one of the most respected manufacturers in the world. Incredible quality and performance.
