1984 Westone Quantum in fair/good condition. Production number:84009. Weight: 7 lbs 4.5 oz / 3.3 kg. Nut width: 40 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 22 mm. I have listed the condition as fair/good because it's cosmetically quite worn and therefore in fair condition but plays very well and therefore a good playing instrument.
Westone Quantum X850 headless bass - made in the Matsumoku factory in Japan in 1984 this is a very nice headless bass; now quite hard to find especially with the original Westone Quantum gigbag.
It has a hard maple body and neck - the neck bolted on and the neckplate stamped ''Westone made in Japan'', The fingerboard is rosewood with 24 frets and small red dot markers and a graphite nut. The scale is 32.25 inches.
There are two Magnaflux RB pickups each with volume controls and one overall tone control. (One of the volume knobs is a replacement). The bridge/tailpiece is fully adjustable and great for fine-tuning.
It's finished in ''satin black'', one of only three colours which were used. These lovely basses were first introduced in 1984 so this is an early one; but they were made for a fairly short time so are hard to find and especially with the original gigbag.
