1981 Music Man 112RD65

1981 MusicMan 112RD65 – 1×12 speaker, Reverb and Distortion, and 65 watts. This amp has a replacement Weber VST C12CH speaker but is another original. Weight:  kg. Serial number: DN06956. Serviced in mid-2023 by Mac Amps in Leeds.

The amp runs on UK power, 240V. The sound is amazing, it has a super warm tone with lush reverb. It has 2 channels, High and low gain. There is light general wear & tear including small scuffs. The underside of the cabinet was obviously torn at some point and has been taped up with black gaffa. The grille cloth is in good shape and the faceplate is nice and clean. This is the perfect amp for gigging, recording, or just using at home.

These amps have two input channels, high and low gain, each with its own volume and gain controls. The cabinet has an interesting and useful feature – the front is slanted, angling the speaker up a few degrees. This removes the need for the tilt-back legs that appeared on larger Fender amp cabinets from the introduction of the ‘piggyback’ design in the early 1960’s.
