1966 Fender Precision Bass in very good condition with a sunburst finish over an Alder body. It has a C-profile maple neck with a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard, a 7.25" radius and pearl dots. It's all original and complete, with the exception of the case, which is a vintage style Fender / G&G replacement. Serial:128552. Weight: 8lbs 10oz / 3.91kg.
The Sunburst finish is still vibrant. There is light playwear around the edges, as well as a few small nicks and dings. The neck has some wear in a few areas along the lower edge ( G strings side), and the headstock has a chip on the lower back edge below the G string tuner. The frets are clean and in great shape, with plenty of life left in them. The truss rod works correctly. It's an all-around excellent bass, a joy to play, and it sounds incredible.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop and is strung with a set of La Bella OSF-4 Olinto signature series flat-wound strings. The pickups have original winds. Only one behalf has a visible pencil date, which is 3-3-66. The pots both date to the 42nd week of 65. The neck is date-stamped FEB 66 C. Nut width: 43.7 mm, depth at 1st fret 21.6 mm.
