Early 1965 Gibson ES-125 TCD in very good condition. Cherry Sunburst finish, mahogany neck with a Rosewood fretboard and dot position inlays. It has a Factory fitted Bigsby vibrato and an aluminium Bigsby compensated bridge. I cant find confirmation one way or the other as to whether these bridges would have been fitted at the factory. Aside from a question mark over the bridge this guitar is all original with untouched solder on the pots. It comes with an SKB hard case.
The ES-125 TDC is a lightweight, lively sounding guitar when played acoustically or plugged in. It's fitted with 2 powerful P-90 single coil pick-ups which are nicely balanced and are warm and round with classic vintage Gibson P-90 tone. TCD stands for Thin body, cutaway, Double P-90 pickups. A very versatile guitar.
The body finish is in excellent condition with only a few very small marks and the colour is still very vibrant. The back of the neck is neck is equally clean, the headstock does have a few dings and chips on the corners but everything remains structurally sound with no issues. Because of he headstock wear I have listed this as very good condition rather than excellent. The frets are in excellent condition having been cleaned and dress in the workshop. All hardware and electronics are in good working order and the truss rod functions correctly.
This guitar has been set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings and low action. Weight 5lbs 13.5oz. Serial 267150. Nut width: 43 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.5 mm. 3-month warranty included.
