1999 Rickenbacker 4001 V63, Mapleglo

1999 Rickenbacker 4001 V63 with a Mapleglo finish in near-mint condition. Original Silver case included. Rickenbacker excelled with their vintage reissue series. These 4001 V63 Basses are some of the best they ever made. The production of these basses began in the '80s and the V63 is the forerunner to the C64. It was based on the 4001S basses used by McCartney and Chris Squire etc and featured no binding, dot inlays,  a toaster pickup at the neck and a horseshoe at the bridge.  They are excellent, well-made instruments at a fraction of the cost of the vintage originals.

This Bass, as already mentioned, is in near-mint condition - aside from 2 small dings on the edge of the headstock it's immaculate. The frets are in great shape with very little playwear. All hardware and electronics are in fine working order. The truss rods are fully functioning and the neck is straight with fantastic action having been set up in our workshop. The bass is strung with a set of Rotosound round-wound strings. Serial: 99 04100. Weight: 9lbs 8oz / 4.31 kg. Nut width 43.3mm. Depth at 1st fret 22.5. Supplied with a 3-month warranty and a 14-day approval period.
