1955 Fender Precision Bass. Two tone sunburst finish in very good condition. Lightweight and resonant Swamp Ash body, maple neck and fingerboard.

This bass has a single coil pickup with a raised A pole piece, chrome volume and tone controls a single ply ABS white pick guard, an original Fender Pat. Pend. metal bridge with two adjustment screws each for half of the strings, Kluson elephant ear tuners, and two nickel strap buttons. The only non original parts are the case (although it looks very similar to the cases of the time) and the string around the pickup which I had replaced as it was missing when I got the bass. It has been professionally restored and dipped in lacquer as it would have been back in 55.

It's sound is killer with huge tone and a bottom end that just growls at you ! The frets are in great shape with very little wear. It is strung with Flat wound strings and most likely has been for most if not all of its life. There are a number of smaller dings and scratches mainly around the edges and quite a bit of finish wear at the butt end. The finish overall is good and the colour still vibrant. There is lacquer checking throughout. The headstock is very clean.

This bass has been fully set up by my technician with a medium to low action and great playability. It's incredibly light, weighing only 7.9 lbs.

Nut width: 1.682" . At 12th: 2.262" . Depth at nut 0.949". At the 12th: 1.012". Pickup ohms: 5.89
