1971 Fender Precision Bass, with a Sunburst finish and tortoiseshell pickguard. It has a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. It's in good condition and all stock and original other than a refret and an added ground wire across the pots. The refret was done professionally with period correct size frets and has been Plek'd. Original hard case included. It's nice and light weighing 8 lbs 7.5 oz / 3.83 kg.
The body has several scuffs & dings around the edges, some arm wear on the edge of the upper bout, buckle rash, and heavy checking on the back. It has a straight neck and clean frets in excellent condition with very little wear. It has a warm tone with plenty of growl. All electronics and hardware are in good working order. The neck has only light signs of wear along the bottom edge. There are a few scuffs and small dings around the edge of the headstock but everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs.
Fully set up in our workshop with a set of flat-wound strings and low action giving great playability. Serial 324644 The pot's both date to '71 - only the tone pot has a visible week (16th week of '71). Both halves of the pickup date to '71. Nut width: 41.1 mm. Depth at the 1st fret: 22.3mm. Pickup DC resistance: 10.48k.
