1962 Ampeg B15NF in fair-good cosmetic condition. 25 watts. Serial:205359. This is a rare amp with not many seen on the market. The lucite Ampeg light up logo had only been introduced a year earlier and the navy random flair tolex was soon to be changed for the more common blue-check version in late 62. So to find one with both the random flair tolex and the light up logo is rare.
The amp was serviced on the 2nd march 2022 and comes with a 30-day warranty and 7-day returns policy. The power rating is 110V and comes supplied with a step-down transformer. Ideal for low volume studio work. It comes with the dolly/wheels.
This is a great sounding B15 which has a JBL speaker. The tolex has numerous scuffs and tears but is structurally sound. There is one larger tear in the tolex on the back of the cab. The grille cloth is clean with no tears. The latches work as they should with no issues. Most importantly of all the sound is fantastic. This amp won't disappoint in terms of sound or looks. Don't miss out on getting that cool Motown sound.
Tech notes; the power chord was changed from a two-pin to a three-pin, the so-called "death cap" removed and an earth tag has been fitted to make it safe. 2 caps and one resistor changed. Jack sockets fitted to the amp and acab for speaker connection. Otherwise original circuit. The grille cloth has been changed.
