1983 Music Man Stingray in Excellent condition. Blackl finish with a maple neck & fretboard. Equipped with a 2 band EQ. Supplied in a non original tweed hard-case. It has an added silver thumb and 1 new piece of mute sponge, otherwise original & complete.
There are scratches/scuffs in the body finish on the back and one or two small chips but overall the body finish is in great condition. The neck and fretboard are very clean with little in the way of play wear. The headstock has a couple of tiny dings but nothing major. The original frets have minimal wear and have been cleaned and polished in our workshop. The neck is straight and plays smoothly. This is an all-round excellent bass, the sound is warm and punchy. It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky round-wound strings and has a great action allowing for superb playability up and down the neck.
The serial number is B025640. Weight: 10 lbs 2 oz. The neck pocket is stamped Jan 27 1983. The neck has no date. The pots are a mixture of dates ranging from early 79 through to early 81. The truss rod works as intended with plenty of room to move. Nut Width: 42.8 mm. Depth at 1st fret 20.8 mm.
