1979 Musicman Stingray in very good condition. Natural finish, black pickguard, maple neck & fretboard. It is equipped with a 2-band EQ and through-body stringing. It comes in a non-original case. The bass is all original except the mute pads. A 3-month warranty and a 14-day returns policy are included.
There are a few small scuffs and dings around the edges of the body but it's mostly pretty clean. The neck and fretboard have light playwear. The finish on the fretboard itself has worn around the dots. There is also some light wear along the top edge of the headstock. The neck is straight and plays smoothly and the truss rod works as intended with plenty of room to move. The frets are in good condition and have been cleaned in our workshop. This is an all-round excellent bass, the sound is warm and punchy. The electronics and hardware are in great condition.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball round-wound strings and has a med-low action allowing for superb playability up and down the neck. The serial number is B012676. Weight: 10 lbs 5 oz / 4.67 kg. The neck pocket and neck heel are both stamped Jan 1979. Two of the pots date to late '78. (39th week) and one to mid/late 77 (33rd week) Nut Width: 42.7 mm.
