1978 Ovation Magnum 2 in fair condition. Supplied in a Hiscox hard case. The Magnum 2 has a Mahogany body and neck with a rosewood fingerboard and features onboard active electronics. The pickguard has been replaced, and the EQ slider tops are missing. (It's normally a 3-band EQ - now 6-band)
There are a fair few chips and dings throughout the bass, body, neck and headstock. The coating on the bridge and on the rail around the pickups has deteriorated. When the bass arrived, we noticed a small crack running from the G string tuner hole. We have repaired this by glueing and clamping the area, and it is now stable. It's been set up in our workshop with a fresh set of D'Addario round-wound strings. The frets have been dressed and have plenty of life left in them. The neck is straight, and the truss rod works correctly. Nut width: 41 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21 mm. Serial: B 00921. Weight: 10 lbs 3.5 oz / 4.64 kg.
