Late 77, early 78 Fender Jazz Bass with a Black finish in very good condition. Maple neck with with a rosewood fingerboard and white binding. This bass is all original and complete including the case. (the interior of the case has been refurbished) This is an excellent bass with a superb even sound right across the fretboard. The body finish has a few lacquer crack lines and various bumps and scrapes, particularly around the edges. The neck finish by comparison is free from wear. The headstock is clean overall with just a few scuffs and patches of wear along the edge. The frets have been cleaned and dressed in our workshop and have plenty of life left in them. The truss rod works as it should and the neck is straight.
Fully set up in our workshop with a med- low action giving great playability. Serial S737605. Weight 9 lbs 13.5 oz. Nut Width 38.6 mm. Depth at 1st fret 21.2 mm. The pickups have untouched solder, original winds and both are dated to 1978. The original pots also have untouched solder. The neck volume pot and tone pot both date to the 45th week of 77, the neck volume pot to the 2nd week of 78.
