1973 Rickenbacker 4001, Mapleglo finish with checkerboard binding in exceptionally good condition. Apart from an excellent refret, it's all original, including the case. Serial MD 1250. (Apr 1973) Weight 9lbs / 4.09 kg. Nut width 42.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret 23 mm.
It has checkered binding on the body, white (now cream-coloured) binding on the neck and full-width inlays. The toaster & lead pickups sound fantastic with strong output. The wavy Grover tuners are clean and fully functioning. There are just a few very small scuffs around the edges of the body. The neck is straight, extremely clean, and the truss rods work correctly. The frets are immaculate. This bass is great fun to play and has that killer Rick tone.
