1970 Fender Jazz bass in very good condition. Sunburst finish, rosewood fingerboard, Tortoiseshell guard. It has had a re-fret which has been done to an exceptional standard with no disturbance at all to the fingerboard. Otherwise original hardware, pots, pickups, finish and case. The case ends have been recovered.
This is a very nice example of a vintage Fender Jazz bass. The finish has a number of chips and dings, mainly around the edges but is otherwise in good shape. It has a fantastic neck with very little play wear. The frets are clean and in great shape. The headstock is clean.
This bass is a joy to play with a superb even sound right across the fretboard, it has a straight neck which is very slim at the nut, and there's tons of room in the truss rod. It's been fully set up and sounds amazing. Weight 8 lbs 14.5 oz. Serial: 296181. The neck date is not present, which is common on Fenders from this year. The pots all date to the 51st week of 70. Nut Width: 37.65mm. Depth at 1st fret: 22.2mm.
