1966 Fender Precision Bass with a sunburst finish, tortoise-shell guard and a rosewood fingerboard. This one has a lot of wear to the finish, as can be seen in the pictures. It may be very worn but it plays very well with an incredibly smooth neck. It's the missing the ashtray covers and the thumb rest. It also has disturbed solder on the pots. The bass is otherwise original, including the case.
The body finish has plenty of play battle scars including dings, scratches, scuffs and buckle rash. The finish on the back of the neck has mostly worn through leaving it very smooth in the hand. The frets have been levelled in our workshop. The headstock is relatively clean.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of D'addario Chrome flat-wound strings. Serial:160382. The neck stamp reads OCT 66 C. Both pots are dated to the 42nd week of 1966. Both pickups are dated to the December 66. Nut width: 44mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.8 mm. Weight: 8lbs 4oz.
