1965 Fender Precision Bass with a sunburst finish over an Alder body. Serial: L57491. It's in excellent + condition and all original, including the case. It has a wide and slim C profile maple neck with a beautifully figured rosewood fingerboard, a 7.25" radius and pearl dots. Supplied with 3-months warranty and 14-day returns policy.
As you can see the Sunburst is still incredibly vibrant. There's a few small scuffs and dings around the edges. There's also some patches of wear on the back of the body which, from our experience, is usually the result of something (such as a cable) being left in the case. Otherwise it's exceptionally clean. The neck has a lovely grain and almost entirely free of wear. The headstock has a few very tiny dings around the edges and some light lacquer checking but is mostly free from wear. It's an all round excellent bass, a joy to play and sounds incredible.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop and is strung with a set of La Bella Deep-Talking flat-wound strings and low action. The neck is date stamped Oct 65 C. Both pots are stamped 137 6534, dating them to the 34th week of 65. The pickup has original winds. The pencil dates are difficult to read but I think you can just about make out 9-19-65 for Sept 19th 1965 on one half. (the other half certainly has a 5 at end) Weight: 8 lbs 12 oz / 3.97 kg. Nut width: 44.1 mm, depth at 1st fret 22 mm.
