1964 Fender Precision Bass with an Olympic White refinish in excellent condition. The finish has been done well and according to the previous owner was done by Fiesta Finishes in the USA. The neck also appears to have been refinished as the end of the neck stamp is missing. It also has a new decal applied. (likely because of the neck being sanded/refinished) It has a repro tortoise-shell guard. a
The changes: body & neck refinished, new decal, pickguard
Original parts: body, neck, all hardware, pots, pickups, frets.
It has very little playwear to the body with only a couple of tiny dings and light scuffs. The neck is extremely clean, with just a few small dings/scuffs around the top edge of the headstock. The frets are in very good condition with very little wear. The bass plays very well with an even sound right across the fretboard.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with a set of Thomastik-Infeld flat-wound strings and has a straight neck and great action. Serial: L57543. The pots both date the 8th week of 64. Nut width: 44.25 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.5 mm. Weight: 8 lbs 5.5 oz / 3.78. Pickup DC. resistance 10.62 K.
