1964 Fender Jazz Bass, Lake Placid Blue, body only refinish with matching headstock. Rosewood fingerboard with clay dots and a white guard. As well as the body being refinished, the back pickup has been rewound and the G string tuner has been replaced with a vintage reissue. The headstock finish appears to be original. It comes with a Hiscox flight case.
The body finish displays some play wear and a few chips and dings, mainly around the edges of the body and some light buckle rash on the back. It has a fantastic clean neck with only slight playwear. The headstock has a few scuffs around the edges but nothing major. The original frets are in great shape having been cleaned and dressed in our workshop.
This bass is a joy to play with a superb even sound right across the fretboard, the neck is slim at the nut, and there's tons of room in the truss rod. It's been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Rotosound nickel round wound strings and sounds amazing. Weight 9 lbs 3 oz. Serial L30959. The neck date is May 64A, the pots all date to the 22nd week of 64. Nut Width 38.1mm. Depth at 1st fret 20.25mm. 3-month warranty included.
