1962 Fender Precision Bass with a sunburst finish, tortoise-shell guard and a slab rosewood fingerboard. This bass is all complete including the metal covers thumb rest, the only thing missing is the original case.
The body finish has lots of play wear and battle scars including a large area of buckle rash on the back. The finish on the back of the neck is worn. The headstock has relatively light wear with only only a few small scuffs/dings around the edges. The frets have light play wear and have plenty of life left in them. The tip of the pickguard in the lower horn cracked and is missing.
It's been fully set up in our workshop with the strings it came in with, which are Rotosound flat-wound 45-105. The truss works correctly and it has a straight neck and a great action. Serial:79521. The neck stamp reads Apr 62 C. Both pots are dated to the 18th week of 1962. The pickups have black bobbins and original winds. Nut width: 44 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.7 mm. Weight: 8lbs 8oz.
