1958 Fender Precision Bass in very good condition. This is a body only Black nitrocellulose refinish, reproduction gold anodized guard and a maple fingerboard. Fender reissue tweed case. Otherwise all original parts.
This bass is nice and light weighing only 8 lbs 5oz. It's an amazing player with an incredible neck. The refinished body has a few small patches of wear around the edges with some light buckle rash. The neck is nice and clean with minimal wear and light lacquer checking. The frets show very little wear, my guess is that it's been strung with flat wound strings for most of its life. 9although currently strung with round wounds) The hardware is in good condition and the truss rod is fully functioning with no issues. Overall this bass is in fantastic condition.
It's been fully set up in our workshop and has a straight neck and a great action. Serial:027939. The neck date reads 8/58, the body, 9/58. Both pots date to the 19th week of 58. Nut width: 43.5mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.5 mm. Weight: 8lbs 5oz.
