1964 Epiphone Rivoli - Sunburst

  • Sale
  • Regular price £2,695.00

1964 Epiphone Rivoli, Sunburst finish (which has mostly faded). Despite the fade, the overall condition is very good and the bass is all original including the case. There are a few small scuffs and dings but nothing major and everything remains structurally sound with no breaks or repairs.

This is a fantastic bass with great action allowing for smooth playability up and down the neck. It has a single-bound laminated maple top, back, and sides with a solid maple centre block. One-piece mahogany neck, 9.5" radius rosewood fretboard with 20 jumbo frets with Pearloid dot position markers and a short scale length of 30 1/2 inches.

The Rivoli Bass was Epiphone's first electric bass, It debuted in 1959, and it was the equivalent of Gibson's EB-2, a semi-hollow body archtop modeled after the Gibson ES-335.

Fully set up in our workshop with black nylon tape-wound strings. All round excellent bass. Serial number: 181306. Weight: 8lbs 10.5oz / 3.92kg. Nut width: 44mm. Depth at 1st fret: 23.5mm.

Condition Very good 8/10
