1959 Gibson EB2 with a Sunburst finish in excellent + condition. Supplied in the original Lifton case along with a box of Gibson strings and a cable. The tuners have been replaced with Gibson reissues. (the originals are in the case but the buttons are missing) The pickup cavity has been slightly enlarged. Otherwise, the bass is all original.
There's some light lacquer checking and minor wear to the body finish. The sunburst is still very vibrant with little fade. The back of the neck and back of the headstock are extremely clean with barely any wear. The headstock face has a few minor scuffs but nothing major. The frets are in great shape with plenty of life in them. The neck is straight and has no issues. Everything remains structurally sound and the truss rod works as intended.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop with a set of flat-wound strings. All round excellent bass. Serial number: A29500. Weight: 8 lbs 9 oz/ 3.88 kg. Nut width: 43.6 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 23.5 mm.
