2000 Rickenbacker 4001 V63 with a Fireglo finish in excellent + condition. Standard (non-original) Rickenbacker case included. Rickenbacker excelled with their vintage reissue series. These 4001 V63 Basses are some of the best they ever made. The production of these basses began in the '80s and the V63 is the forerunner to the C64. It was based on the 4001S basses used by McCartney and Chris Squire etc and feature no binding, dot inlays, a toaster pickup at the neck and a horseshoe at the bridge. They are excellent, well-made instruments at a fraction of the cost of the vintage originals.
This Bass, as already mentioned, is in excellent + condition with only a few small scuffs/marks to the finish, mainly around the edges of the body and a couple on the headstock. The back of the neck is very clean. The frets are in great shape with very little play wear. All hardware and electronics are in fine working order. The truss rods are fully functioning and the neck is straight with fantastic action having been set up in our workshop with a set of round-wound strings. Serial 00 39851. Weight 9lbs 5oz. Nut width 43.5mm. Depth at 1st fret 23.25 mm.
