1975 Fender Mustang Bass in excellent condition. It has a beautiful sunburst finish which is still very vibrant and a Rosewood fingerboard. It's all original apart from the case and I suspect a refret and a new nut.
It has a great playing straight neck and the frets are in excellent condition. The body finish has a few small scuffs, mainly around the edges of the body. There's one small ding which seems to have been touched up with black lacquer along the edge of the upper bout. The neck and headstock are extremely clean. All electronics work and sound great.
This bass has been fully set up in our workshop with a fresh set of D'addario Chrome short scale 45-100 flatwound strings. The pot's date to mid 74 and the neck is dated early 75. The neck stamp reads 0400 0554. Broken down that reads 04 (Mustang bass) 00 (Rosewood board) 05 (5th week) 5 (of 75) 4 (4th day of the week) The pickups date to 74. Serial: 626567. Weight 8lbs 12.5oz. Nut width: 41.2mm. Depth at 1st fret:21.9mm.
