1998 MusicMan Stingray 4 EX bass in excellent + condition. The EX series was only available in Japan for a short time. The original parts were shipped to Japan and assembled with the highest precision by the distributor. (which is believed to have been Kanda Shokai Corp) Unlike the USA made Stingray basses of the period these late 90s Japanese Stingrays retained the bridge mute assemblies from earlier stingrays.
Sunburst finish, Maple neck and fingerboard, 3 band EQ, Black pickguard. New tweed case, otherwise all original. The body and neck date to December 98.
The action is set nice and low and the truss rod has plenty more room to move. The neck is straight and plays smoothly. The frets are in great shape with only very light wear. The finish has very little wear with only a couple of tiny dings around the edges of the body and headstock. There is also some light buckle rash on teh back of the body. It's fully set up by and is an excellent player. Serial: 49995. Weight: 9 lbs 11.5oz. Nut width: 42.75mm Depth at 1st fret: 20mm.
