1980 Music Man Stingray bass in exceptionally good condition. Sunburst finish with a maple neck & fretboard. Equipped with a 2 band EQ and through-body stringing. This Stingray is nice and light weighing in at 9lbs 3oz and has a slim neck ( front to back) measuring 19.6mm at the 1st fret. There are only the lightest signs of use with light wear and tear including a couple of small and very light scratches in the body finish and and tiny bruises. The neck and fretboard and are extremely clean. The headstock has some light scuffs along the top edge. All the hardware is still shiny. Everything remains structurally sound with breaks or repairs.
The body dates to Jan 17th 1980, the neck dates Feb 11th 1980. Two of the pots date to the 18th week of 79 and one to the 19th week of 79. The frets are in great shape and the truss rod is fully operational with plenty of room to move. The neck is straight and plays smoothly.
This bass has been fully checked over and set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie Ball 45-105 round wound strings. Serial number: B016241. Weight: 9lbs 3oz. Nut width: 42.8 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 19.6 mm.
