1979 Musicman Stingray in very good condition. Black finish, Black pickguard, Maple neck & fretboard. Equipped with a 2 band EQ, non epoxy preamp and through body stringing.
There are a few scuffs / small dings to the finish and some lacquer checking but nothing major. The neck is straight and plays smoothly. All original and complete other than the missing string mute sponge. ( this can easily be replaced if needed).
The serial number is: B011453. Weight: 9lbs 4.5oz. The body date is Dec 1978, the neck dates to 78 but the month is difficult to read. The pots all date to the 18th week of 79. The truss rod is fully working with plenty of room to move. The action is set nice and low.
This is an all round excellent bass, the sound is warm and punchy. It's been fully set up with a fresh set of strings and has a great action allowing for superb playability up and down the neck. Nut Width: 41.87 mm. Depth at 1st fret 20.29mm.
