1979 Musicman Sabre Bass. Original Sunburst finish in excellent condition. Maple neck & fretboard. Black pickguard. 2 band EQ. Contoured body , 2 humbucking pickups, internal micro powered pre amp, brightness + phase in/out and pick up selector switches.
The body shows a little play wear and has a small crack in the surface just by the neck pocket. My technician has injected glue into the area and the crack is perfectly stable. (I have seen small cracks like this before on Music Man basses due to the tightness of the neck pocket - caused by removing the neck) the neck and fretboard are clean, the headstock has a small chip in the wood at the tip. The body dates to July 1979, the neck dates August 1979. The frets are in great shape and the truss rod is fully operational with plenty of room to move. The neck is straight and plays smoothly. The action is set nice and low.
This bass has been fully checked over and set up by my technician and restrung with a set of Rotosound round wound strings. Serial number: C002188. Weight: 10lbs 6oz. Nut width: 42.75 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20 mm.
