1978 Music Man Stingray in exellent condition. Black finish, black pickguard, maple neck & fretboard. 1-owner bass which came to us from the original owner's wife. Equipped with a 2-band EQ, epoxy-coated preamp and through-body stringing. Supplied in a brand new hard case. It comes with 3-months warranty and a 14-day returns policy.
There's some general light playwear with a couple of small dings and paint chips, mainly around the edges of the body. The headstock has some tiny dings/scuffs around the edges. The back of the neck and fretboard are clean overall with only minor lacquer wear in the first position. The original frets are in great shape and the truss rod is fully operational with plenty of room to move. The neck is straight and plays smoothly. Everything remains structurally sound with breaks or repairs.
The body is date stamped, June 1978 (the day is unclear) and the neck, Sept 28th 1978. The pots all date to early/mid '78. This bass has been fully checked over and set up in our workshop with a fresh set of nickel Rotosound 45-105 round wound strings. Serial number: B007837. Weight: 9 lbs 15 oz / 4.5 kg. Nut width 42.5 mm. Depth at 1st fret 20.4 mm.
