1964 Fender Jazz bass in excellent condition. It has a nitro Sunburst finish with a Tortoiseshell guard. All original and complete with untouched solder and supplied in the original white hard case.
This is a fine example of a vintage Fender Jazz bass. The finish is still vibrant with little fade. There are a few small dings and scuffs in the body finish which are mainly around the edges. The neck is straight and in fantastic condition. The headstock is also very clean with just a few tiny scuffs. The original frets are clean and in excellent condition with tons of life left.
This bass is a joy to play with a superb even sound right across the fretboard, it has a straight neck and there's tons of room in the truss rod. It's been fully set up in our workshop with an easy-to-play medium action and a set of round-wound strings. It weighs 9 lbs 0.5 oz / 4.1 kg. Serial: L25888. The neck date is March 64 and the pots all date to the 10th week of '64. The pickups have black bobbins and original windings. Only one has a date stamp of 1964. (the full date is difficult to read) Nut Width: 38 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.5 mm. Pickup DC resistance: N, 7.34k / B, 7.53k.
