1963 Martin D-21 in good condition. All original guitar with a more recent Martin case.
A beautiful example of the dreadnaught series from Martin. It has a spruce top and book match rosewood back and sides which are heavily grained. There are general signs of play-wear along a few scuffs and dings to the body neck and headstock. Overall it's in good condition. There's no bridge lift and the neck angle is still accurate and solid. There's a small pickguard area crack due to guard shrinkage which is natural. There is also one small crack about 1/2” on bottom side is cleared and hard to spot in picture.
This is essentially a D-28 with the following differences: the 21 has a rosewood fretboard and bridge , plain sound-hole ring ornamentation and tortoise binding.
Ironically the 21 model has more rosewood than the 28 model. A lovely open sounding guitar!
This acoustic has wonderful tone, plenty of bass response and comfortable playability. It's been fully checked over in our workshop and set up with a great action and a fresh set of strings. Nut width:42.9 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.2 mm. Weight: 4lbs 7.5oz. Serial:190278.
