1993 Epiphone Casino, Japan, Black

1993 Epiphone Casino #35301 in very good condition, it's missing the pickguard but otherwise original and in perfect working order. Produced in Japan at the Terada factory, this is an uncommon and early Epiphone reissue which preceded the current "Elitist" line. Faithfully replicating mid '60s spec, the P-90s are perfect for bold cleans or overdrive, these pickups take full advantage of both the snappy attack of the maple body and the warmth of the fully hollow construction.

It has a maple neck with a slender and fast C shaped profile. The rosewood fretboard has medium jumbo fretwire. The frets are in great shape with very little sign of wear and the headstock has Kluson Deluxe-style nickel tuners. It has a nickel ABR-1 bridge which has the correct "Made in Japan" text on the underside, and the orange oval label visible through the F hole has the correct five digit serial for Terada production (3 for 1993, 5 for Casino, and a trio of digits for production number).

The black gloss finish has a few light scratches and a small dings, the nickel hardware has surface patina. This guitar has been fully checked over & set up in our workshop with a fresh set of strings and is an all-round excellent sounding and playing guitar. Set up with a low action allowing for very smooth movement around the fretboard. It has a big rich tone both plugged in and acoustically. It weighs 6 lbs 8.5 oz. Nut width 40.2 mm, depth at 1st fret 20.2 mm, at 12th 23.1 mm.

The Casino was introduced by Gibson in 1961 and is the equivalent of the ES-330. It has the same pick-up configuration and hollow body construction. The main differences being the white pickguard, and headstock design.
