1975 Gibson ES-335 TD, Walnut finish in good condition, with factory coil tap switch. (the coil tap wasn't a standard part of the spec until 1977) Serial:600519. Weight: 8 lbs 3 oz / 3.71 kg. Nut width: 40.85 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.1mm. Supplied in a more recent Gibson hard case.
This guitar has numerous changed parts. Both the pickups have been changed for Seymour Duncans ( NJ neck and BL bridge) The bridge is not original, neither is the pickguard and it appears to have been re-fretted and has a new nut. In addition, it has changed knobs and strap buttons.
It's been fully checked over & set up in our workshop and is an all-round excellent sounding and playing guitar. Set up with a low action allowing for very smooth movement around the fretboard. It has a big rich tone both plugged in and acoustically.
The finish has quite a few very small scuffs, dings and scratches. The frets are in great shape and all hardware & electronics are in excellent working order. The binding has yellowed but is all intact. The headstock is clean with only a few very small scuffs around the edges. There is lacquer crazing along one of the headstock seams. There are no breaks or repairs. Everything remains structurally sound.
The ES335 is a Semi-Hollow electric guitar that has a Maple front back & sides, double cutaway arched Maple top with f-holes, layered Black pickguard, Trapeze tailpiece, Rosewood fretboard with block inlays, 2 covered pickups; 2 volume, 2 tone controls with 3 position switch. Black headstock faceplate with pearl crown logo & 3 per side tuners. Late '70s models have a coil tap switch.
