1972 Gibson ES-335 TD, Ice Tea Sunburst finish in excellent + condition. It has a new bridge ( faber Germany) and was recently refretted. Otherwise original including the case. The case has seen plenty of use and has had some repair work done to keep it together. It's perfectly stable and all the latches work correctly.
The body finish has only light sings of wear including light buckle rash to the back and a small chip through the finish by one of the bridge posts. The binding is all intact and has yellowed to more of a cream colour. The back of the neck has a few very tiny scuffs but is generally very clean. The headstock is clean with only a few small marks and dings around the edges. There are no breaks or repairs. Everything remains structurally sound. The frets are in great shape having been dressed in our workshop and all hardware & electronics are in excellent working order.
The visible pots date to 1972 which is in keeping with the Gibson stamped pickup covers which were only used for a short time from late 71 through 72. The patent sticker pickups sound great. Other features include a trapeze tailpiece with ABR-1 bridge, mahogany neck, and "double-ring" Kluson tuners.
This guitar has been fully checked over & set up in our workshop and is an all-round excellent sounding and playing guitar. Set up with a low action allowing for very smooth movement around the fretboard. It has a big rich tone both plugged in and acoustically. Nut width: 40mm. Depth at 1st fret: 20.2mm. Serial: 745874. Weight: 7lbs 9oz.
