1968 Gibson ES-330 TD. Sunburst finish in excellent condition, mahogany neck with a Rosewood fretboard, block position inlays and chrome hardware. It is all original including the case. This is the long neck version that joins the body at the 19th fret. This is preferable for ES 335 players that want easier access to upper register of the fretboard. Scale length remains the same 24.75” All features are consistent with previous years except the heel joint location to the neck.
The ES-330 shares the body shape of the ES-335, ES-345 and ES-355 and is a lightweight, lively sounding guitar when played acoustically or plugged in. It's fitted with powerful P-90 single coil pick-ups which are nicely balanced. The neck and headstock are in fantastic condition with very little in the way of play-wear aside from a couple of very small scuffs. Everything remains structurally sound with no breaks/repairs. The body finish is in great shape with only a few tiny dings and some light scuffs on the back. The frets are in excellent condition having been cleaned and dressed in the workshop.
This guitar has been set up in our workshop with a fresh set of Ernie ball strings and a low action. It has the original CTS pots with untouched solder. ( dates not visible as they're covered with solder) Weight 6lbs 3oz. Serial 803099. Nut width: 40mm. Width at 12th fret 50.2mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21.3 mm.
