1966 Gibson Trini Lopez Standard with a rare wide 42mm nut. It's in exceptional/near mint condition and in perfect working order, all original aside from the hardshell case.
The Trini model was first offered in '64 and features distinct diamond-shaped F holes, split-diamond inlays, and a Firebird style headstock to set it apart from the ES-335. The one-piece mahogany neck has a round medium C-shaped profile. Unique to this particular example is the wide neck, usually seen on pre mid 1965 models.
The body features a beautiful cherry red finish with cream binding. There is very light lacquer checking in the finish along with a few small scuffs and tiny dings along the neck and headstock. There are no breaks/cracks or repairs and everything remains structurally sound. The original frets are in excellent condition having been cleaned and dressed in our workshop. All hardware & electronics are in excellent working order.
This guitar has been fully checked over & set up in our workshop and is an all-round excellent sounding and playing guitar. Set up with a low action allowing for very smooth movement around the fretboard. It has a big rich tone both plugged in and acoustically. Nut width: 42 mm. Serial:430152. Weight: 8 lbs 6 oz / 3.79 kg.
