1969 Gibson Trini Lopez Standard, cherry finish. It has heavy checking and a fair amount of wear but it's in perfect perfect working order with no breaks or repairs. It's been re-fretted and it's missing the saddle retainer wire on the bridge, otherwise all original including the case. The serial number and short tenon combination place manufacture in 69.
The Trini model was first offered in '64 and features distinct diamond-shaped F holes, split-diamond inlays, and a Firebird style headstock to set it apart from the ES-335. The one-piece mahogany neck has a round medium C-shaped profile.
The body features a cherry red finish and the cream binding. There is heavy lacquer checking in the finish along with scuffs and dings, There are no breaks/cracks or repairs and everything remains structurally sound. The frets are in excellent condition, the neck is straight and the truss rod works correctly. All hardware & electronics are in excellent working order.
This guitar has been fully checked over & set up in our workshop and is an all-round excellent sounding and playing guitar. Set up with a low action allowing for very smooth movement around the fretboard. It has a big rich tone both plugged in and acoustically. The pots date to mid-67. It has a short tenon. Nut width: 40 mm. Depth at 1st fret: 21 mm. Width at 12th fret: 50.3. Serial:812577. Weight: 8 lbs 3 oz.
